A recent posting on a social media website reads:

I graduated from high school in 1998. Myself and my friends went onto college and received our Master’s degrees as well. We can speak intelligently, and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.

The writer must have been sick the day the English professor taught about pronouns, prepositions, usage, capitalization, and commas.

However, we give high marks to the writer’s employment of coincidental irony, apparently a literary skill worthy of a master’s degree from our public universities.
